About this opportunity
The Town of Bloomfield in Hartford County, Connecticut, is seeking a comprehensive ALS/Paramedic Service and Mutual Aid Coverage contract through Invitation to Bid (ITB) 1157. The procurement involves selecting a qualified vendor to provide advanced life support and paramedic services, with an emphasis on emergency medical response and mutual aid coverage for the municipality. Proposals must be submitted by May 9, 2025, at 1:00 PM, with vendors required to provide one original proposal, two copies, and a read-only thumb drive copy to the Purchasing Department located at 800 Bloomfield Avenue. A vendor Q&A period is scheduled from April 10, 2025, to April 21, 2025, during which potential bidders can seek clarification on the solicitation requirements. The procurement process allows vendors to submit statements of qualifications and bid responses, with the town potentially accepting proposals that take exception to specific ITB requirements, provided those exceptions are clearly documented in a separate attachment. Vendors are instructed to review the detailed requirements on both the Town of Bloomfield and Connecticut Department of Administrative Services websites.
While specific set-aside designations are not explicitly detailed in the provided documentation, the procurement appears open to all qualified vendors capable of meeting the ALS/Paramedic service requirements. The solicitation does not specify restrictions based on business size, ownership, or disadvantaged enterprise status. Payment terms are established at Net 30 Days, with delivery terms set as Free On Board Destination. The primary point of contact for this solicitation is Joseph Muraca, who can be reached via email at jmuraca@bloomfieldct.gov. Although the exact contract value is not specified in the documentation, this appears to be a significant municipal service contract for emergency medical services. Potential bidders should carefully review the comprehensive solicitation documents to understand the full scope of services, qualifications required, and submission expectations for this critical public safety procurement.
