About this opportunity

The City of Fort Oglethorpe, located in Georgia, has issued Invitation to Bid (ITB) No. 002-25 for Police Department Vehicle Equipment, seeking qualified contractors to provide comprehensive vehicle outfitting services. The procurement specifically targets equipment and installation for four 2024 Chevrolet Tahoe Police Interceptor vehicles, including three operational and one administrative vehicle. Required equipment encompasses warning devices, internal console systems, electronic and communication equipment, and vehicle partitions from specific manufacturers like Whelen, Havis, Axon, Motorola, and Setina. The bid requires detailed documentation, including a Bid Proposal Form, Bid Fee Form, Execution of Bid Form, Exception Sheet, Affidavit of Non-Collusion, Insurance Certificates, and E-Verify Compliance documentation. Sealed bids must be submitted by Monday, April 7, 2025, at 2:00 PM, with bid prices remaining valid for 90 days, and the city will award the contract based on the lowest responsive and responsible bid, with the potential to split or award the entire project.

Contractors must meet specific qualifications, including participation in the federal work authorization program, appropriate state licensing, and compliance with Georgia immigration regulations. Insurance requirements are comprehensive, mandating Workers' Compensation, Comprehensive General Liability, Automobile Liability, and a Commercial Umbrella policy with specified coverage limits. While no specific set-aside designations for disadvantaged enterprises are mentioned, the bid appears open to qualified vendors meeting the technical and regulatory requirements. The procurement does not specify an exact budget range, but the scope suggests a potentially significant investment in specialized police vehicle equipment. Interested vendors must submit written inquiries by Friday, March 28, 2025, at 2:00 PM to Kathy Bradley, Staff Accountant, and can access complete bid details at www.fortogov.com under the Bids and Proposals tab.
