About this opportunity

Socorro County, New Mexico is seeking proposals for comprehensive Information Technology & Network Support Services through RFP #2023-02-401. The procurement aims to secure a qualified technology vendor to provide daily on-site end-user support, user account management, email and phone system support, network infrastructure management, server management, and backup system management. Key objectives include protecting technology facilities, ensuring efficient data processing network operations, enhancing departmental service quality, and minimizing technology investment spending. The evaluation process will allocate 1,000 total points, with 350 points for professional qualifications, 325 points for experience, 100 points for references, and 150 points for familiarity with Socorro County. The contract will be for one year with potential renewal for three additional one-year terms. Critical deadlines include a proposal submission due date of September 20, 2023, with an anticipated contract award on October 24, 2023. Vendors must be legally registered in New Mexico and with sam.gov, and provide a help desk capable of resolving computer systems and network issues with minimal downtime during standard working hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

The procurement does not specify specific set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises. Vendors must provide insurance coverage, including $1,000,000 in general liability and $1,000,000 in professional liability. The county will procure all necessary equipment and infrastructure, with the contractor responsible for providing labor. While no incumbent vendor is mentioned, the RFP indicates a comprehensive approach to IT services that suggests potential replacement or enhancement of existing technological support. Vendors will be separately reimbursed for gross receipts and local option taxes, and the county reserves the right to negotiate contract terms or cancel the procurement if deemed in its best interest. Though a specific budget range is not explicitly stated, the detailed scope of services and point-based evaluation suggest a substantial contract value commensurate with comprehensive IT support for a county government organization.
