About this opportunity
Oconee County is seeking proposals for IT Managed Services through RFP #25-11-005, targeting professional firms to support the county's internal IT infrastructure. The procurement seeks a comprehensive managed services provider to handle network administration, help desk support, and technology management across 27 county locations with approximately 225 desktops/laptops, 44 switches, 2 firewalls, 47 wireless access points, and 18 servers. Key service level requirements include 30-minute response times during business hours, 45-minute response for outages, and performance metrics ranging from 85-99% for system uptime, patch management, and ticket resolution. The contract will have an initial term of one year with potential for four additional one-year renewals, with work expected to commence in January 2025. Critical procurement dates include a question submission deadline of November 27, 2024, with answers posted by December 4, 2024, and a proposal due date of December 10, 2024, at 10:00 AM. Vendors must submit one unbound original, two bound copies, and one electronic technical proposal, along with a sealed cost proposal.
The county prefers to award the contract to a single vendor and explicitly prohibits the use of subcontractors. No specific set-aside designations were mentioned, and no explicit budget range was provided in the documentation. The current incumbent for these IT services is Athens Microcomputer Center Inc. The work can be predominantly performed remotely, with less than 2% requiring on-site presence. Fourteen companies have already submitted proposals, including Cherubim Technologies, Patheown LLC, Resultant LLC, Black Fox Group, Ankobia Group, Baskin Advisory Group LLC, Lockstep Technology Group, The 20 MSP, Athens Micro, Weez Solutions LLC, Cross Link Consulting, Unity Systems, Staff Hub Global Inc., and UDT. All submitted vendors have completed required documentation, including W9 forms and E-Verify documentation. Interested firms should carefully review all addenda and be prepared to meet the county's stringent technical and operational requirements for comprehensive IT managed services.
