The state of Ohio is seeking to procure EcoTensil EcoTaster Paperboard Mid Tasters, specifically paper spoons intended for youth on watch status. This procurement opportunity was posted on December 2, 2025, with proposals due by December 16, 2025. The contract appears to be focused on supplying specialized disposable utensils for institutional use, likely within juvenile detention or youth monitoring programs. While the specific technical requirements are not fully detailed in the provided documentation, the procurement seems to emphasize environmentally conscious, single-use paper utensils designed for specific institutional applications. The procurement process requires vendors to submit comprehensive proposals that demonstrate their capability to meet the state's precise specifications for these specialized paper spoons, with potential evaluation criteria likely including product quality, sustainability, cost-effectiveness, and ability to meet exact dimensional and functional requirements.

No specific set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises were explicitly mentioned in the contract opportunity description. The limited information provided does not indicate incumbent vendors, existing infrastructure requirements, or precise budget ranges for this procurement. Given the specialized nature of the product—paper spoons for youth monitoring programs—potential vendors should anticipate a niche market opportunity within Ohio's institutional supply chain. The relatively short timeline between posting and proposal due dates suggests the state is seeking a rapid procurement process. Interested vendors would need to carefully review any supplemental documentation and be prepared to demonstrate their capability to provide high-quality, purpose-specific paper utensils that meet the state's exact specifications for youth program environments.
