About this opportunity

The City/County Utility Commission of Winston-Salem, North Carolina has issued an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for the annual supply of approximately 89,000 gallons of 38% Sodium Bisulfite. The chemical is to be delivered in 4,000 gallon lots to the Archie Elledge Wastewater Treatment Plant and 2,500 gallon lots to the Muddy Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant on an as-needed basis. The initial contract period is from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025, with options to extend for two additional 12-month periods. Bidders must provide a unit price per gallon and the total annual purchase amount based on the estimated annual quantities for each plant location. Pricing is to be firm for the initial contract term, with potential increases at renewal based on the Producer Price Index (PPI). The City/County reserves the right to purchase more or less than the estimated quantities. The apparent low bidder may be required to provide a certified product analysis prior to award by the Utility Commission.

This solicitation is open to all qualified vendors. There are no set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. The current incumbent vendor is not disclosed. The IFB does not provide any information on the potential award value or budget range for this procurement.
