About this opportunity
The Commonwealth of Kentucky Board of Accountancy is seeking a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to provide investigator services through a Personal Service Contract. The selected CPA will conduct investigations of other CPAs for potential violations of statutes and regulations governing the practice of public accounting in the state. The investigator will be required to present investigation reports to the Board and may need to testify at administrative hearings. The contract term is anticipated to be from July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2026, with the option to renew for up to two additional two-year periods. The proposal evaluation will be based on the offeror's experience, proposed cost, and, if required, an oral presentation. Offerors must hold a current Kentucky CPA license and be actively practicing public accounting in the state. The proposal with the lowest price will receive the maximum cost score, while the proposal with the highest years of experience will receive the maximum technical score. The Commonwealth reserves the right to negotiate a fair and reasonable compensation rate with the highest-ranked offeror.
This contract opportunity is open to all qualified CPAs who meet the stated requirements. There are no set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. The Commonwealth has not identified any incumbent vendors or current contractors for this service. The budget range for this contract has not been specified.
