About this opportunity
The City of Tampa is issuing an Intent to Single Source (ISS 26-X-01578) for SernaTech belt press parts from Compositech Products Manufacturing Inc., with objections due August 6, 2026. This is a sole-source procurement with no competitive process.
The David L. Tippin Water Treatment Facility operates SernaTech belt presses in its solids treatment division. Compositech Products Manufacturing Inc. is the exclusive distributor and authorized representative for SernaTech belt press components; no other manufacturer produces compatible parts. The City of Tampa has determined that genuine SernaTech parts are necessary to ensure safe and reliable equipment operation and maintain warranty protection. The single-source justification rests on the exclusive distribution agreement and the technical requirement for original equipment manufacturer parts in specialized industrial equipment.
Vendors interested in confirming their authorized status or providing additional information should contact Tonya Parker-Rimes, Certified Procurement Analyst, City of Tampa Procurement Office, 2555 East Hanna Avenue, Tampa, Florida 33610, (813) 274-7048. Responses may be submitted through the City of Tampa's online supplier portal at https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/cityoftampa.
No contract value, term, or quantity is stated in the ISS notice.
