About this opportunity

The state and local contract opportunity is issued by the Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) in Dallas County, Texas, for the procurement of specific electrical and insulation components, specifically an insulation block, R.H. coupler, and electric portion. The solicitation (Bid #2097525) is scheduled for release on January 14, 2026, with proposals due by January 21, 2026. Potential vendors must complete Bonfire registration to access complete bidding details and must submit responses through the platform's in-browser BidTable window. Delivery terms are critically important, with DART emphasizing that time and rate of deliveries are essential, and failure to meet specified delivery schedules could result in order rejection or default termination. Vendors must submit bids reflecting FOB Destination shipping terms, with freight costs included in the overall price, and are advised that DART does not typically accept alternative shipping arrangements.

No specific set-aside designations or restrictions on vendor types were explicitly detailed in the provided documentation. However, vendors must comply with several key requirements, including submission of invoices in triplicate to APInvoices@dart.org, adherence to Net 30 payment terms, and providing commercial warranties for supplies. Additional vendor qualifications include commitment to equal opportunity employment, certification of non-boycott of Israel, and verification of non-inclusion on the Texas Comptroller's Foreign Terrorist Organization list. While a specific award value was not mentioned, the procurement appears to be for specific electrical and insulation components for DART's infrastructure. The contract will be governed by Texas law, with dispute resolution managed through DART's Contracting Officer and potential appeals to the Authority, with venue designated in Dallas County. Vendors should carefully review the attached Purchase Order Terms and Conditions document for comprehensive procurement guidelines.
