About this opportunity

The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) is requesting bids on installation, repair, and maintenance of fencing along Interstate 95 in District 5 under ITB, with bids due May 28, 2026 and written questions due April 17. This procurement is restricted to firms that have been awarded a Maintenance Master Services Agreement (MMSA) under GDOT's Request for Qualified Contractors pre-qualification process — a mandatory eligibility gate.

The scope spans approximately 15,472 linear feet of 8-foot fence and 9,888 linear feet of 4-foot woven wire and field fence across Camden, Glynn, McIntosh, Liberty, Bryan, Chatham, and Effingham Counties. Work includes removal of damaged fencing, installation of replacement materials, clearing and grubbing, and traffic control. Contractors must hold Pesticide Applicator or Contractor licenses with Category 27 Right of Way Endorsement and certified Worksite Traffic Control Supervisor certification. All work must comply with GDOT Standard Specifications for traffic control, clearing and grubbing, concrete, miscellaneous roadway removal, fence, galvanized-coating repair, wood fence posts, timber preservation, and fencing, as well as applicable Qualified Products Lists (QPL 50, 34, 53, 59).

Pricing is submitted as lump sum for traffic control and clearing and grubbing, and unit pricing per linear foot for fence. Performance and Payment Bonds equal to 100 percent of the award price are required if the total bid price equals or exceeds $1.5 million or if subcontractors are used. Work must begin no later than 60 days after the prework meeting and be completed within 240 days. A price-match option is available for Georgia Resident or Small Businesses if their bid falls within 5 percent or up to $10,000 of the lowest responsive and responsible bid. Bids must be submitted electronically through Team Georgia Marketplace with all required documentation. Question responses will be provided by April 20 at 5:00 PM; bid submittal deadline and pre-bid conference details will be posted on the Georgia Procurement Registry.
