About this opportunity

Palm Beach County, Florida's Board of County Commissioners, through its Purchasing Department, has issued a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the procurement of two units of an OEM Aurora Model #653 impeller (Part #443-2493-010) with specifications of 4x4x12, 1750 RPM, and Power Frame 5 for direct replacement use in a reclaimed water transfer pump system. The impeller will be delivered to the Water Utilities Western Region Operations Center at 39688 Hooker Highway, Belle Glade, Florida 33430, with delivery required within six weeks of purchase order receipt. Quotations must be submitted by April 20, 2021, at 4:00 P.M. Palm Beach County local time via fax to (561) 616-6815 or email to mbrown@pbcgov.com, directed to Buyer Marva Brown. All pricing must include freight, shipping, labor, equipment, materials, and other facilities necessary to provide the items as specified, with the F.O.B. point established as destination. The county will award this solicitation on an all-or-none basis to the lowest responsive and responsible quoter, and the successful vendor must furnish a factory/manufacturer warranty on all items against defects in materials or workmanship, effective upon delivery and acceptance, with defective items to be repaired or replaced at no cost to the county. Quoters must maintain current vendor registration in the county's Vendor Self Service (VSS) system and payment will be rendered only upon the county's satisfaction and acceptance of delivered items.

This solicitation includes set-aside considerations for Small/Minority/Women-Owned Business Enterprises (S/M/WBE) vendors, with S/M/WBE vendors responding as prime contractors required to complete Schedule 1 and Schedule 2 forms documenting all work performed by their own workforce and all subcontractors. Palm Beach County offers a five percent local preference to businesses with a permanent place of business in Palm Beach County or the Glades, provided they submit required Business Tax Receipt documentation and certification to qualify for the preference consideration. No incumbent vendors or existing contractors are identified in this procurement. The RFQ does not specify an explicit budget range or award value; however, the award will be based on the lowest responsive and responsible quotation received. The county reserves the right to return any non-compliant items at the vendor's expense for a full refund, ensuring quality and compliance with specifications.
