About this opportunity

The California Air Resources Board (CARB) is seeking a contractor to perform daily flights and record air temperature readings at 500-foot intervals, from the surface to 5,000 feet above the ground, at the Columbia Airport (CUF) in Columbia, California. The selected contractor will also be required to collect ozone data up to an altitude of 7,500 feet above the ground. The flights must be conducted seven days per week for the duration of the 24-month contract, with the exception of March, April, and May, where flights are only required five days per week. Bids are due by September 10, 2024 no later than 1:00 PM (PST), and the contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. CARB's budget for this project is $100,000, and bids exceeding this amount may be deemed non-responsive and ineligible for award. The IFB outlines minimum bidder qualifications, insurance requirements, and other terms and conditions.

The IFB does not mention any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. Additionally, there is no information provided about any incumbent vendors or current contractors, or any existing infrastructure or technology that requires integration. The contract opportunity is located in the state of California, specifically in Tuolumne County and Concord City, and CARB has indicated that they may reissue the IFB at a later date as no proposals were received for the initial posting.
