The scope covers monthly preventive maintenance, annual safety inspections, emergency callback labor (regular and premium time), materials and parts, escalator deep cleaning, and five-year load testing across six fiscal years for three escalators, six hydraulic passenger/freight elevators, and one wheelchair lift. The contract term is three years with two optional one-year renewal periods, extending through November 30, 2031, contingent on state approval. Contract performance spans Los Angeles County, Lake Los Angeles CDP, Los Angeles City, and East Los Angeles CDP. The state reserves the right to apply a five percent preference for certified Small Businesses or Microbusinesses and incentives of one to five percent for Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise participation. Pricing is submitted on a detailed cost sheet with line items for each service category and fiscal year. Written questions are due October 21, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. The anticipated award date is November 9, 2026, with a contract start date of December 1, 2026. The selected contractor will be the lowest responsive bidder and must obtain all required annual conveyance permits from the Department of Industrial Relations, Division of Safety and Health, with permit fees covered by the state.
