About this opportunity
The City of Fairburn, Georgia, is requesting bids for landscape enhancements within four roadway medians on Broad Street under IFB 26-013, with bids due June 16, 2026, and a mandatory site visit on May 28, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at CVS, 77 Hudson Plaza, Fairburn, Georgia.
The scope includes site preparation, installation of decorative rock in white, red, and yellow (2–4 inch size), shrub plantings (120 Autumn Joy Stonecrop and 107 Color Guard Adam's Needle in #3 gallon containers), and 968 square feet of Variegated Lilyturf groundcover in 4-inch pots. The contractor must provide 3-inch mulch depth, planting soil amendments, and either temporary or permanent irrigation systems. All plant materials must be specimen quality and free of disease and defects. The contractor bears responsibility for locating and protecting existing utilities, notifying utility companies 72 hours prior to digging, and maintaining erosion and sedimentation control. A one-year warranty on all plant materials runs from substantial completion. Plant substitutions require written Owner approval within four weeks of award and must match the original specification's appearance, form, size, color, quality, and growth habit at no additional cost.
The contract term is 120 days from Notice to Proceed. Award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder on a lump-sum basis covering all labor, materials, supervision, equipment, permits, traffic control, and incidentals. Required insurance includes commercial general liability and automobile liability at $500,000 combined single limit, workers' compensation, employer's liability at $100,000 per employee, and professional liability at $500,000 per claim. Contractors must maintain current licenses, comply with E-Verify, maintain a drug-free workplace, and comply with federal, state, and local nondiscrimination requirements. Questions are due June 2, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and may terminate for cause (ten days' notice), convenience (thirty days' notice), or lack of funding.
