IFB-24-1225 Event Changeover Staff for Multi-Use Sports Field

The State of California, through the California Exposition & State Fair (Cal Expo), is seeking contractors to provide event changeover staff services for a multi-use sports field stadium in Sacramento County, Sacramento City, San Francisco City, and West Sacramento City. The Invitation for Bid (IFB) #CSF-24-1225 requires the contractor to have expertise in altering the layout of the stadium between a sports venue, a concert/event venue, and back to a sports venue. The contractor will provide changeover crews, including supervisors, foremen, changeover crew, and forklift/equipment operators, for an estimated 25-30 events annually over a contract term of October 1, 2024, or upon contract approval, through September 30, 2026. Bidders must have at least 5 years of experience providing the required services and provide 3 satisfactory references from event venues. Pricing is requested on a regular and overtime hourly rate basis for the different changeover staff positions, and the award will be made to the lowest bidder based on the total of all four changeover staff positions in the regular hourly rate column.

The IFB encourages Small Business (SB) and Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) companies to bid. The procurement does not list any incumbent vendors or current contractors, and there is no information provided about existing infrastructure or technology that requires integration. The IFB does not specify a budget range, but the award will be made to the lowest bidder that meets the minimum qualifications.
