About this opportunity
The Pueblo West Metropolitan District is soliciting bids for the Homer Drive Roadway Improvements project (IFB-2025-WA-2411), a public infrastructure construction initiative located in Pueblo County, Colorado. The project involves constructing approximately 1,500 linear feet of 22-foot-wide doubled chipped residential roadway, requiring comprehensive project management including all necessary labor, supervision, equipment, tools, and materials. Bidders must submit sealed proposals by May 2, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Mountain Time, with a non-mandatory pre-bid meeting scheduled for April 15, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. The procurement will follow a competitive bid process, with contract award going to the lowest reliable and responsible bidder. Key submission requirements include a 5% bid bond, and bidders must demonstrate capability to complete the project within 90 calendar days, with potential extensions for weather-related delays. Liquidated damages are set at $1,400 per working day for late completion, and bidders must comply with local, state, and federal regulatory requirements.
The contract opportunity appears open to all qualified contractors, with a preference for local Colorado labor. The successful bidder will be required to provide a performance bond, labor and materials payment bond, and appropriate certificates of insurance. While specific set-aside designations are not explicitly detailed, the project emphasizes responsible and reliable bidder selection. The procurement is being funded through the Pueblo West Metropolitan District, with pricing expected to be comprehensive and inclusive of all associated project costs, including labor, equipment, supplies, materials, freight, travel, fuel, setup, and takedown expenses. Although a precise contract value is not specified, the scope and complexity of the roadway improvement project suggest a significant municipal infrastructure investment. Bidders are advised to obtain detailed bid documents from the Rocky Mountain E-Purchasing website and are responsible for monitoring and incorporating any potential addenda into their proposals.
