About this opportunity
The Pueblo West Metropolitan District (PWMD) is seeking competitive bids for the IFB-2025-WA-2308 PRV Installation project, an infrastructure improvement initiative involving the installation of five Pressure Relief Valve (PRV) Systems at strategic locations in Pueblo West, Colorado. The project requires qualified construction companies to complete comprehensive PRV vault installations off existing 8-inch or 6-inch asbestos-cement water mains, encompassing extensive technical work including piping, demolition, earthwork, erosion control, valve installations, and site-specific tie-ins. Bidders must provide all necessary labor, equipment, materials, and supervision to ensure a fully functional system, with pricing to be all-inclusive covering freight, travel, fuel, setup, and takedown costs. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for September 30, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. MT, with electronic bids due by October 22, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. MT. The project requires a mandatory 5% Bid Bond, and contractors must demonstrate capability to coordinate work across multiple trades, subcontractors, suppliers, and public utilities.
The PWMD encourages participation from minority, small, disadvantaged, and women-owned enterprises, signaling a commitment to inclusive procurement practices. While a specific contract value is not explicitly stated, the comprehensive scope and multiple installation sites suggest a significant infrastructure investment. The successful bidder will be required to provide a Performance Bond, Labor and Materials Payment Bond, and Certificates of Insurance, with a contract duration of 60 calendar days and liquidated damages of $1,400 per working day for project delays. Bid documents are available through the Rocky Mountain E-Purchasing website, and interested contractors must carefully review all documentation to ensure compliance with technical specifications and project requirements. The project locations include areas near W. Linden Ave, S. Greenway Ave, W. Northampton Dr., S. Papago Dr., S. Hollister Dr., and S. Sweetwater Ave, indicating a distributed infrastructure improvement strategy across the Pueblo West metropolitan area.
