About this opportunity
The Invitation for Bid (IFB) 2025_81227 is a procurement opportunity for leasing armoured vehicles for NATO Headquarters, structured as a competitive bidding process. The solicitation seeks to award a contract for three separate vehicle packages, with each package representing one armoured vehicle to be registered in Belgium with diplomatic "CD" plates. The initial lease term is three years, with potential extension options that could extend the total contract period to four years. Eligible bidders must be registered with the NATO IS Procurement Service and demonstrate relevant experience in delivering the specified goods and services. The procurement is restricted to companies from Participating Countries, and interested vendors must contact the IFB Point of Contact to receive detailed bid documentation. The bid submission deadline is September 26, 2025, with the original posting date of August 26, 2025, providing potential bidders with approximately one month to prepare and submit their proposals.
The contract opportunity is specifically limited to companies from Participating Countries, with strict eligibility requirements focused on vendor qualifications and experience in vehicle leasing and diplomatic transportation services. While no specific set-aside designations for disadvantaged enterprises are mentioned, the procurement process appears to prioritize technical capability and international compliance. The solicitation does not disclose specific budget ranges or potential award values, though the multi-year lease structure suggests a significant financial commitment. The three-package approach indicates that multiple vendors might be selected, allowing for competitive pricing and diverse vehicle options. Prospective bidders will need to demonstrate not only technical competence in vehicle procurement but also familiarity with NATO administrative protocols and diplomatic transportation requirements. The requirement for email-based document sharing and direct communication with the IFB Point of Contact suggests a controlled and selective procurement process.
