Deliverables include electrical infrastructure with 8 LED shop lights, 4 exterior wall lights, 14 120-volt outlets, a 12' x 12' overhead garage door with opener, a commercial-grade man door, and associated concrete aprons and pads. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for May 12, 2025, with electronic bids due by 2:00 p.m. MT on May 30, 2025. The project requires a 5% bid bond, and the contractor must handle all permit acquisitions, utility locates, site preparation, demolition of existing chain link fence and dead tree, and complete the entire project within 60 calendar days. The district will award the contract to the lowest conforming, reliable, and responsible bidder.
The procurement encourages participation from minority, small, disadvantaged, and women-owned businesses, demonstrating a commitment to diverse vendor engagement. Contractors must comply with local, state, and federal safety regulations and provide performance and payment bonds, along with certificates of insurance. Material testing will be provided by the Pueblo West Metropolitan District, and the project will be funded internally by the district. While no specific budget range is disclosed, the comprehensive nature of the project suggests a substantial investment in municipal infrastructure. Contractors must demonstrate professional design capabilities, particularly for the concrete slab, which requires engineering certification to obtain a building permit from Pueblo Regional Building. The project involves constructing a storage facility with specific technical requirements, including electrical infrastructure, security provisions, and precise dimensional specifications for the building and associated concrete work.
