About this opportunity

Montgomery County, Maryland is soliciting bids for fleet equipment repair service and OEM parts procurement under IFB #1196681, with proposals due July 24, 2026. The solicitation is posted through BidNet's Maryland Purchasing Group platform; free registration is required.

The scope covers repair services for County fleet equipment performed either at County facilities or the contractor's location, plus procurement of OEM-specified replacement parts. The County mandates OEM-certified trained technicians for all service work and requires that all installed parts meet OEM specifications and carry original equipment manufacturer warranty coverage. Contractors must provide itemized quotes before commencing work; any repairs beyond the approved scope require prior written County authorization, and all invoices must align with the approved quote. The contractor is responsible for maintaining a safe and environmentally controlled workspace at County facilities, along with cleanup and disposal of hazardous materials generated during repairs. Non-OEM parts are permissible only when supported by the original manufacturer as approved replacement components; the County's stated intent is to preserve factory-new operating condition and protect existing factory warranties.

No contract value, term length, or incumbent is identified in the solicitation notice. The source does not specify evaluation criteria, a pre-bid meeting date, or a questions deadline.
