About this opportunity
Montgomery County is seeking bids for Invitation for Bid (IFB) #1182592, a full-service and pooled preventive maintenance contract for binding equipment. The procurement will be conducted through BidNet's Maryland Purchasing Group, with electronic responses required from registered vendors. The contract requires a contractor to perform comprehensive preventive maintenance on specified equipment, including two scheduled service calls annually and the replacement of all necessary parts to maintain equipment in optimal operating condition. Maintenance will be performed on the County's premises during regular business hours (8:30 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday), with the ability to accommodate special service calls that must be responded to within four business hours. The bid is due on June 9, 2025, and vendors must register on the BidNet platform using the "Limited" registration option, with support available through BidNet Direct's support department at 800-835-4603.
The solicitation does not explicitly specify set-aside designations or restrictions on vendor participation. The contract allows Montgomery County the flexibility to add or delete equipment during the contract term, with pricing for new equipment to be negotiated mutually. While specific budget ranges are not disclosed, the contract will cover all travel expenses within the unit pricing submitted by vendors. The procurement appears open to qualified vendors capable of providing comprehensive binding equipment maintenance services, with the County reserving the right to evaluate and select contractors based on their ability to meet the detailed maintenance specifications. Vendors will be expected to provide comprehensive service that includes all labor and replacement parts necessary to ensure continuous equipment functionality, with response times and service standards clearly defined in the solicitation.
