About this opportunity
This Invitation for Bid (IFB) is issued by the California Department of Water Resources (DWR) for repair and maintenance services for hydroelectric pumps, turbines, and associated components installed at DWR facilities located throughout the State Water Project. The anticipated term of the agreement is five (5) years with the option to renew for an additional three (3) years. Services will be performed at the contractor's or identified subcontractor's shop facilities and at DWR facilities operated by the Oroville, Delta, and San Luis Field Divisions, and on rare occasions, the San Joaquin and Southern Field Divisions. A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on July 17, 2024, and bids are due by August 5, 2024. The bid rates for on-site and off-site labor will be used to determine the low bidder. Subcontracted work will be invoiced at cost plus 15%, and any contractor or subcontractor-provided rental equipment or materials will also be invoiced at cost plus 15%.
The State has waived DVBE program requirements but will apply a DVBE incentive. Bidders must be registered public works contractors with the Department of Industrial Relations and possess a Class A contractor's license. The State has not provided any information on incumbent vendors or current contractors, and the budget range for this procurement was not disclosed.
