About this opportunity
The Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is soliciting bids for an Idler Speed Sensor Ring (Contract Number 2098143) through a purchase order procurement process. This is a goods procurement for a specific automotive/mechanical component required for DART's transit operations. The bid due date is February 27, 2026, with registration in the Bonfire system required to access full project details and the bidding table. Vendors must submit bids that reflect FOB Destination shipping terms with all freight costs included in the overall price, as DART does not accept FOB Origin or Prepay and Add terms. The procuring jurisdiction is Dallas County, Texas. All deliveries must meet specified timeframes and rates, as failure to comply with delivery schedules constitutes grounds for order rejection and default termination. Invoices must be submitted in triplicate to APInvoices@dart.org and include the purchase order number, item number, description, sizes, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals, with payment terms of Net 30 days from invoice receipt or order receipt, whichever is later.
The procurement documents indicate that all vendors must comply with DART's comprehensive Purchase Order Terms and Conditions, including requirements to provide commercial warranties covering merchantable quality and suitability for intended use. Vendors are required to certify compliance with the Texas Comptroller's Foreign Terrorist Organization vendor list restrictions and must commit to not boycotting Israel during the contract term. All disputes are governed by Texas law with venue in Dallas County, and the contracting officer's written decision on disputes is final unless appealed within 30 days or overturned by a court. The pricing submitted by vendors must include all applicable federal, state, and local taxes, though DART's tax-exempt status means any sales or use taxes included on invoices will be deducted from final payment. No specific award value or budget range was disclosed in the available procurement documentation, nor were incumbent vendors or set-aside designations for disadvantaged enterprises identified in the posted materials.
