About this opportunity

The Alamo Area Council of Governments (AACOG), as the Local Intellectual and Developmental Disability Authority (LIDDA) for Bexar County, Texas, is issuing a Request for Applications (RFA) to establish a network of public and private provider organizations to deliver an effective and equitable intellectual and developmental disabilities service system. The requested services include Applied Behavioral Analysis, Behavior Support, Community Support, Day Habilitation, Respite, Speech/Language Therapy, and Transportation. The RFA has an open enrollment period with quarterly application deadlines, and approved providers will be contracted for a multi-year term, with no guarantee of referral volume from AACOG. The RFA provides detailed service descriptions, unit rates, and expected outcomes for the various service categories, and AACOG will manage utilization and provide quality assurance for the contracted services. Funding for the services is not specified, but AACOG notes it is a cost-reimbursement model.

The RFA is open to all qualified providers, with no set-asides mentioned. Successful applicants must meet insurance, licensure, and other regulatory requirements to provide the services. The RFA does not specify any incumbent vendors or current contractors, and the existing infrastructure or technology that requires integration is not mentioned. The potential award values or budget ranges are also not provided in the RFA.
