About this opportunity

The Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is soliciting bids for the procurement of ice melt, liquid de-icer, low-rise vehicle (LRV) doors, and magnesium chloride products suitable for all surface applications under Solicitation Number 2097888. This is a purchase order-based procurement with a submission deadline of February 11, 2026, following a posting date of February 5, 2026. Bidders must register with DART's Bonfire system to access complete project details and the bid table, and all bids must reflect FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs included in the quoted price. The Authority requires strict adherence to delivery schedules, as time and rate of delivery are essential to the order, with seller failure to meet delivery specifications serving as grounds for rejection and contract termination. Payment terms are established at Net 30, with invoices submitted in triplicate to APInvoices@dart.org and payment calculated from the later of invoice receipt or order receipt. All supplies must be of merchantable quality, suitable for intended use, and compliant with specifications, and sellers must warrant that their products carry the most favorable commercial warranties offered to any customer.

The procurement does not indicate specific set-aside designations or restrictions limiting participation to particular vendor classes or disadvantaged enterprises, suggesting this is an open solicitation available to all qualified bidders. Vendors must comply with equal opportunity provisions, certify they are not identified on the Texas Comptroller's list of companies contracting with foreign terrorist organizations, and provide certification of non-boycott of Israel as required under Texas law. The solicitation does not reference any incumbent vendors or current contractors, nor does it specify integration requirements with existing infrastructure or technology. The procurement does not disclose an estimated award value or budget range, with pricing to be determined competitively through the bidding process. All applicable federal, state, and local taxes must be included in quoted prices, and DART's tax-exempt status means any applicable Texas sales and use taxes will be deducted from invoice amounts.
