About this opportunity

Blue Earth County, in conjunction with the State of Minnesota, is soliciting bids for one Advance Model T2-50608 Hydraulic Dock Lift through a formal electronic procurement event. The dock lift specifications include a 5,000-pound lifting capacity, a 72" wide by 96" long uniform load platform, and a height range of 66" when raised and 8" when collapsed. Additional required features include three 36" wide by 72" long bridge plates, removable 42" high handrails with mid-rails, and a remote-mounted 5 HP hydraulic pump/motor compatible with 208V or 480V/3 phase power. Bids must be submitted electronically through the Supplier Portal no later than September 23, 2024, with no alternative submission methods accepted. Contractors requiring assistance with registration or portal submissions can contact the Swift Contractor Assistance Helpdesk at 651-201-8100, Option 1. The State of Minnesota will award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder meeting all specifications and terms, with the explicit right to award items separately or in total based on what is most advantageous to the state.

The procurement opportunity appears open to all qualified suppliers, with an encouragement for small businesses to participate. Bidders must be registered as suppliers prior to potential award, and those initially registered only as bidders must update their registration status. While no specific set-aside designations or disadvantaged enterprise requirements are explicitly mentioned, the state's procurement approach suggests a commitment to competitive and inclusive bidding. No information is provided about incumbent vendors or existing infrastructure requirements. Although a specific budget range is not disclosed, the detailed technical specifications suggest this is a targeted procurement with precise equipment requirements. The dock lift will likely be delivered to the St. Peter Region Treatment Center by September 28, 2024, indicating a specific timeline for procurement and installation.
