About this opportunity
The Housing Department of the Seminole Tribe of Florida is requesting bids for hurricane impact windows and doors installation services at a residential property in Canal Point, Florida, with bids due July 21, 2026 at 5:00 p.m., a mandatory pre-bid conference on July 10, 2026 at 11:00 a.m., and a question deadline of July 14, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. The Tribe provides a preference to qualified Seminole Tribal Member-owned and STOFI-owned businesses with bids equal to or less than four percent above the lowest non-Tribal Member business bid, not to exceed $200,000.
The scope covers removal and installation of nine impact-rated windows with energy-efficient glass and screen enclosures; replacement of front, patio, and side doors with impact-rated units featuring Kwikset or Schlage hardware; and installation of two impact-rated French doors in the kitchen and master bedroom at 19161 SW Conners Highway. All work must comply with Florida Building Code standards, Miami-Dade County specifications, and Palm Beach Notice of Acceptance requirements. Bidders must submit pricing for both insulated and non-insulated impact window options, with all prices fixed for a minimum of 180 days from the bid due date.
Bidders must be active in an existing funded service agreement with the Tribe's Housing Department, hold current relevant contractor licensing, demonstrate a minimum of two years of experience in similar services, and maintain adequate insurance coverage as specified. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is mandatory for eligibility. Work must commence within 45 calendar days of purchase order receipt and be completed within 90 calendar days, with daily cleanup and final inspection coordinated through the Tribe's Housing Department.
Evaluation prioritizes on-time and complete submissions, license compliance, projected completion dates, previous performance with the Tribe, statement of qualifications, current workload capacity, and pricing versus market comparison. The contractor bears responsibility for all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, permits, inspections, and waste removal. Bid acceptance or rejection notification will be provided within 60 calendar days of the bid due date.
