About this opportunity

Purchase College, located in Westchester County, New York, is seeking a qualified vendor to provide a comprehensive hot water boiler rental solution under a discretionary procurement authority outlined in NYS Education Law 355(5)(a). The procurement specifically calls for the rental, delivery, and installation of a 40-50HP hot water heating boiler for a six-month term. Vendors must submit proposals via email to purchasing@purchase.edu, with quotes structured to show monthly rental costs and separate fixed costs for delivery and setup. A non-mandatory site visit is scheduled for Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in the Facilities Management Building conference room, which will be the only guided facility walk-through. Interested vendors must contact the campus procurement contact within 15 business days of the advertisement notice. The proposal submission deadline is May 6, 2025, at 2:00 PM, with vendors expected to provide all necessary labor, materials, equipment, and accessories to ensure a fully operational heating system.

The procurement opportunity does not include any specific set-aside designations for disadvantaged businesses, with 0% goals for minority-owned, women-owned, and service-disabled veteran-owned subcontracting. No business entities have been identified as having been awarded similar contracts in the past five years. The procurement is open to all qualified vendors capable of meeting the technical specifications and operational requirements for the hot water boiler rental. While specific budget ranges were not disclosed, vendors should prepare comprehensive proposals that detail monthly rental costs, installation expenses, and any additional service charges. The contract term is explicitly set for six months, with the potential for the college to evaluate performance and potential future extensions based on the vendor's service quality and responsiveness.
