About this opportunity

Stony Brook University Hospital is seeking a procurement for a Registration Quality Assurance System through a competitive bidding process for Invitation for Bid (IFB) 18/19-2860. The proposed system will function as an overlay to the hospital's existing Cerner Millennium enterprise registration system, enabling registrars to immediately access and enter quality assurance information following a patient registration. The primary deliverable is a software solution that provides immediate feedback and verification capabilities after each patient registration is completed. Potential vendors must contact the designated hospital contact within 15 business days of the advertisement notice, with the original proposal due date set for March 13, 2019, at 5:00 PM. The contract will be located at 101 Nicolls Road, Stony Brook, NY 11794, and has a proposed term of two years. Qualified vendors should be prepared to demonstrate a robust system that can seamlessly integrate with the existing Cerner Millennium platform and provide real-time quality assurance functionality.

The contract opportunity does not include any specific set-aside designations for disadvantaged businesses, with all sub-contracting goals (minority-owned, women-owned, service-disabled veteran-owned, and disadvantaged-owned) listed at 0.0%. The procurement appears to be open to all qualified vendors capable of meeting the technical requirements. The contract indicates that similar goods or services have been previously purchased from out-of-state or foreign vendors within the past three years, suggesting potential flexibility in vendor selection. The procurement covers Suffolk County and is specifically associated with Stony Brook University Hospital's registration system needs. While specific budget ranges were not explicitly detailed in the documentation, the comprehensive integration requirements and specialized nature of the quality assurance system suggest a potentially significant technology investment. Vendors should be prepared to demonstrate comprehensive system compatibility, immediate feedback mechanisms, and seamless integration with the existing Cerner Millennium registration infrastructure.
