About this opportunity

Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners' Purchasing Department issued a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for hoses, suction and discharge, on a term contract basis with a deadline of July 26, 2018, at 4:00 p.m. local time. The procurement seeks firm, fixed pricing for water suction and discharge hoses intended for use in construction, septic tank cleaning, mining, and agricultural applications. Lot #1 encompasses suction hoses (Goodyear Spiraflex 1600 or equal) in 2", 3", 4", and 6" internal diameter sizes, supplied in 20-foot lengths with quick disconnects and annual estimated quantities of 40, 20, 30, and 40 units respectively. Lot #2 includes discharge hoses (Goodyear Spiraflex Blue or equal) in the same diameter sizes supplied in 50-foot lengths with annual estimated quantities of 30, 30, 10, and 10 units respectively. All hoses must be supplied with aluminum cam locks attached using stainless steel bands and include factory/manufacturer warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Awards will be made on a lot-by-lot basis to the lowest responsive and responsible vendor, with vendors required to quote on every item within a lot or face rejection; delivery is required within twenty-one calendar days of receiving a delivery order, and pricing must remain firm for ninety days from opening for evaluation and throughout the initial and renewal contract terms.

The successful vendor will be awarded an initial four-month term contract with options to renew for four additional twelve-month periods, contingent upon mutual written agreement and appropriation of funds by the Board of County Commissioners. The solicitation includes local preference provisions offering a 5% preference for Palm Beach County businesses and Glades businesses, and vendors must comply with small business enterprise certification and drug-free workplace certification requirements, as well as Florida statutes regarding public entity crimes and scrutinized companies. Vendors offering products other than the specified manufacturer/brand must submit manufacturer cut sheets and descriptive literature demonstrating compliance with specifications. The F.O.B. point is destination, and the County reserves the right to add or delete delivery locations during the contract term at no additional cost. Quotations could be submitted via fax or email to the Purchasing Department. No specific budget range or award value was disclosed in the solicitation documents.
