About this opportunity

Pelican Bay Services, a division of Collier County, Florida, is seeking quotes for horticultural debris hauling and disposal services for fiscal years 2025-2026. The contract requires a contractor to load, haul, and dispose of horticultural debris located at 6200 Watergate Way in Naples, FL, with a total annual removal amount not exceeding 2,500 cubic yards. Contractors must provide all necessary equipment and labor for loading and hauling debris to a legal off-site disposal location at their own expense. The key deliverable is the efficient and compliant removal of horticultural waste, with the contractor required to maintain communication with the Senior Field Supervisor regarding work schedules. The procurement follows a Quick Quote (QQ) process, with quotes due on October 13, 2025, at 3:00 PM through the Collier County Procurement Services Online Bidding System. Evaluation will be based on the lowest unit price per cubic yard, with the county reserving the right to request proof of proper disposal through examination of disposal tickets or inspection of the contractor's disposal site.

The contract does not specify specific set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises. Vendors must meet comprehensive insurance requirements, including Workers' Compensation ($1,000,000), Employer's Liability, Commercial General Liability ($1,000,000 per occurrence), and Automobile Liability ($1,000,000). Contractors must be E-Verify registered and comply with all county procurement regulations. The purchase order will have a one-year term from October 1, 2025, to September 30, 2026, with firm pricing for the duration of the contract. While a specific budget range is not explicitly stated, the maximum annual volume of 2,500 cubic yards will serve as a financial constraint. Vendors must provide appropriate business licensing, maintain proper identification badges, and adhere to environmental and safety regulations. Collier County will name the winning contractor as an additional insured and requires insurance certificates to be submitted within five days of award notification.
