About this opportunity
SUNY Oswego is seeking competitive bids for a comprehensive heavy-duty lift installation project for its campus garage, with sealed proposals due on July 2, 2025, at 8:00 AM. The procurement involves purchasing and installing specialized automotive equipment, specifically one 30,000-pound four-post lift with a runway width of 24" and cable lifting capabilities, along with two air-operated rolling jacks with 15,000-pound capacity and adjustable width between 45"-55". The project requires comprehensive installation services, including up to 200 feet of airline piping, removal of existing above-grade equipment, and complete replacement of inground lift components. Specific work includes evacuating and disposing of existing oil, filling rear pistons and box housing, adding gravel and concrete capping to the front pit, and removing all associated metals and debris from the site. The contract will be executed across all New York State counties, with the primary location being SUNY Oswego's campus.
The procurement opportunity does not include any specific set-aside designations for disadvantaged, minority, women-owned, or service-disabled veteran-owned businesses, with all subcontracting goals set at 0%. No incumbent vendors or existing contractors were identified in the solicitation, suggesting this is potentially a new installation or complete replacement of existing infrastructure. While no specific budget range was provided, the complexity of the project involving specialized automotive lifting equipment, extensive installation requirements, and site preparation indicates a potentially significant investment. The contract is open to all qualified business entities capable of meeting the technical specifications and installation requirements. Interested bidders will need to demonstrate technical proficiency in heavy-duty automotive lift installation, pneumatic systems integration, and site renovation capabilities to be considered for the contract.
