About this opportunity

The School Board of Marion County, Florida has issued Bid #4108MF for a term contract to procure healthcare supplies for its Central Warehouse, with a contract period from March 1, 2025 through December 31, 2025. The procurement seeks to establish firm pricing for 54 different healthcare and medical supply items, including exam gloves, gauze, masks, medical disposables, sanitizers, and related medical supplies. Vendors must submit pricing on a per-unit basis for each line item, with specific brand and stock number requirements for many products. The bid has strict submission guidelines, mandating that only electronic submissions through www.myvendorlink.com will be accepted, and vendors must complete the Proposal Form exactly as written, with no additional documentation or pricing information. Bid responses are due on January 15, 2025 at 2:00 PM, with the board award scheduled for February 25, 2025. Evaluation criteria focus on vendors who can meet the "As Specified" requirements, with bids potentially being deemed non-responsive if they include additional terms or documentation. Questions from potential bidders were due by January 10, 2025.

The contract does not appear to have specific set-aside designations for disadvantaged enterprises, but it does require vendors to comply with various certifications, including drug-free workplace and debarment certifications. Eight vendors were ultimately awarded the contract, including Agni Enterprises, Interboro Packaging Corporation, Henry Schein, Inc., The Ivory Montana Group, School Health Corporation, Nashville Medical & EMS Products, United Sales USA South, LLC, and Pyramid Paper Company. The estimated budget for these supplies is $175,000.00, with orders to be placed on an "As Needed Basis" during the contract term. Successful vendors must provide updated Certificates of Insurance and ensure any on-site personnel comply with the Jessica Lunsford Act and Florida Statute background screening requirements. The contract includes provisions for potential renewal for three additional one-year periods by mutual agreement. Payment terms are net thirty (30) days, with invoices requiring specific detailed documentation. The procurement includes standard commercial packaging requirements and no minimum order quantities.
