About this opportunity
The state of Florida, specifically Broward County, is seeking a fixed-price contract for the Highway Bridge Maintenance Division (HBMD) Administration Building Expansion and Renovation project. This is a re-posting of Solicitation PNC2130563C1, which previously closed due to a technical issue. The procurement is for comprehensive construction services involving building expansion and renovation, with detailed specifications outlined in the attached documents. Vendors must have appropriate county/state licenses and meet bonding requirements. A mandatory site visit was conducted on August 15, 2025, and only vendors who attended this visit and meet all other terms and conditions are eligible to bid. All solicitation responses must be submitted electronically through BPRO by October 15, 2025, with vendors encouraged to submit in advance. Questions and clarification requests must be submitted through BPRO by the specified questions due date, with responses posted in the Messages section.
The solicitation includes specific requirements for County Business Enterprise (CBE) goal participation through the Office of Economic and Small Business Development (OESBD). Vendors must complete various certification documents, including ownership disclosure, lobbyist registration, and criminal history screening. The procurement appears to have set-aside provisions encouraging participation from small and disadvantaged businesses. Specific technical requirements include selective demolition, concrete floor sealing, and acoustical panel ceiling installations, as detailed in the attached specifications. While no specific budget range is explicitly stated, the comprehensive nature of the expansion project, including multiple technical specifications and the requirement for a geotechnical engineering report, suggests a significant capital investment. Vendors must demonstrate technical competence, financial stability, and compliance with local regulatory requirements to be considered for the contract award.
