About this opportunity

The Walton County Water & Sewerage Authority is seeking sealed bids for the Hard Labor Creek Water Transmission Main Phase I project, a significant water infrastructure development in Georgia. This procurement is specifically limited to pre-qualified bidders who were approved on November 13, 2025, following a pre-qualification process initiated on October 9, 2025. The project involves constructing approximately 20,000 linear feet of water transmission infrastructure, including 36-inch and 30-inch ductile iron pipe water main, 120 feet of 42-inch steel cased jack and bore, and associated water system components. Key deliverables include 30 gate valves of varying sizes, six air release valve assemblies, and 18 fire hydrants, with the ultimate objective of creating a fully operational water main connected to a new water treatment plant. Bids must be submitted by 2:00 p.m. local time on Thursday, December 18, 2025, to the Walton County Water & Sewerage Authority located at 2171 Highway 81, Loganville, GA 30052. Potential bidders can obtain general project information by emailing Natalie Pifer at 861np@ppi.us.

While the solicitation does not explicitly detail set-aside designations or specific enterprise requirements, it emphasizes a strict pre-qualification process that limits bidder participation. The project appears to be a comprehensive water infrastructure development that will require significant technical expertise in municipal water transmission systems. No specific budget range or award value is disclosed in the procurement documents, though the extensive scope suggests a substantial capital investment. The project's location spans Walton County, with potential regional implications for water infrastructure development. Interested contractors must have demonstrated pre-qualification capabilities and technical proficiency in large-scale water transmission main construction, including experience with ductile iron pipe installation, jack and bore techniques, and municipal water system integration.
