About this opportunity
The Florida Department of Health (DOH) is seeking to purchase grocery certificates to motivate and encourage individuals to receive vaccines or testing. The DOH requires grocery certificates that prohibit non-food items, provide tracking capability, and are accepted by major grocery outlets throughout Florida. The DOH is requesting authorization to purchase these grocery certificates as a single source from GThankYou for a 3-year term. The estimated dollar amount for this purchase is $5,000,000. The justification for the single source acquisition is that GThankYou is the only vendor that can provide the specific requirements of printed grocery certificates with no cash value, redeemable for food only, and accepted by major grocery outlets throughout Florida without requiring a registration or activation process. GThankYou certificates also have expiration dates and unique identifying numbers, allowing the DOH to track issued certificates.
This procurement is limited to a single source, GThankYou, as they are the only vendor that can meet the DOH's specific requirements for the grocery certificates. The DOH has not identified any incumbent vendors or current contractors for this procurement, and there is no mention of any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. The total budget for this procurement is $5,000,000, which will be used to purchase the grocery certificates over a 3-year period.
