About this opportunity
The state of Georgia, specifically through the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia and on behalf of Georgia State University (GSU), is conducting an electronic Request for Quotes (eRFQ) to procure two bronze Panther statues for placement on the Clarkston and Alpharetta campuses. This procurement is being executed pursuant to the State Purchasing Act (Official Code of Georgia Annotated 50-5-50 et seq.) and aims to establish a contract with one or more qualified suppliers capable of delivering the specified bronze statues. The deliverables include two identical bronze Panther statues mounted on rock bases, with specific design and placement requirements for the respective campuses. The eRFQ process is designed to gather and evaluate supplier responses, with a posted date of August 6, 2025, and a submission deadline of August 18, 2025. After evaluating all supplier responses, the preliminary results will be publicly announced, including participating suppliers and evaluation outcomes, with final contract awards subject to a protest process.
The solicitation does not explicitly specify set-aside designations or restrictions on responding organizations. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are mentioned in the documentation. The procurement appears to be open to qualified suppliers who can meet the statue specifications and delivery requirements. While no specific budget range is provided, the contract will be awarded based on the evaluation of supplier responses. The procurement is jurisdiction-specific to Dekalb County and involves the Georgia State University system. The objective is to select a supplier or suppliers who can provide high-quality bronze Panther statues that meet the university's aesthetic and placement specifications for the Clarkston and Alpharetta campuses.
