About this opportunity
Georgia State University, on behalf of the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia, is issuing an electronic Request for Quotes (eRFQ) pursuant to the State Purchasing Act to procure a comprehensive lighting and lighting control system upgrade for the Moot Courtroom/Auditorium (Room 041, 230 seats) and associated lower-level spaces within the College of Law facility located on the downtown Atlanta campus in Fulton County. The scope of work includes removal and proper disposal of existing luminaires, one-for-one replacement with new energy-efficient LED lighting fixtures, installation of a new dimming and lighting control system utilizing existing electrical circuits, configuration of multiple lighting control zones, and full integration of the lighting system with the facility's existing audiovisual control system. The procurement was posted on May 5, 2026, with a deadline for quote submission on June 3, 2026. Qualified suppliers must demonstrate capability to perform electrical and lighting installation work, manage proper hazardous waste disposal, configure advanced lighting control systems, and ensure seamless integration with existing AV infrastructure.
The Request for Quotes document does not specify set-aside designations, minority or disadvantaged enterprise restrictions, or preferences for particular categories of vendors. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are identified in the procurement notice. The integration requirement with the facility's existing audiovisual control system represents a critical technical consideration, as the new lighting system must operate compatibly with established infrastructure. The notice does not provide an explicit budget range or award value for this project. Interested vendors should contact the State Entity directly for additional technical specifications, detailed scope requirements, and any clarifications regarding qualifications or submission procedures prior to the June 3, 2026 deadline.
