About this opportunity

Florida State University is soliciting sealed bids under Invitation to Bid ITB-6859-8 for grounds maintenance and landscape services on the Tennessee Street and Stadium Drive medians adjacent to and within its Tallahassee main campus, with bids due November 12, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. EST. The question deadline of October 28, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. EDT has passed.

The capability filter is the requirement that all work follow Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Temporary Traffic Control (TTC) and Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) standards, because the medians sit on active, high-volume state and municipal thoroughfares. The bidder must be a qualified, licensed, and experienced landscape contractor that is fully certified and equipped to execute TTC operations. FSU internal grounds personnel lack the required MOT certifications and heavy-traffic equipment, so the work will be contracted to an external vendor.

Scope covers comprehensive grounds maintenance, weed control, turf management, tree sucker and basal growth management, and debris removal for the medians. Place of performance is the Tallahassee campus corridor in Leon County, Florida. The solicitation was posted October 21, 2026, and the attached ITB PDF is the governing document.
