About this opportunity

Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) has issued a procurement opportunity for Grease, Lubricating, Coupling, High Speed, specifically requesting a 40-pound pail, with solicitation number 2097375. The contract opportunity was posted on January 7, 2026, with a response deadline of January 14, 2026, and requires mandatory registration through the Bonfire platform to access complete bid details. Vendors must submit their proposals with FOB Destination shipping terms, incorporating freight costs into the overall price, as DART does not accept alternative shipping arrangements. The procurement process mandates that vendors adhere to specific invoice submission guidelines, including sending triplicate invoices to APInvoices@dart.org with comprehensive documentation such as purchase order number, item descriptions, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals. Time and delivery rates are considered critical elements of this procurement, with potential for order rejection and default termination if seller performance does not meet specified requirements. All submitted bids will be evaluated based on compliance with technical specifications, delivery capabilities, and adherence to DART's purchase order terms and conditions.

The solicitation does not explicitly outline specific set-aside designations or restrictions on respondent organizations. However, the purchase order terms and conditions include requirements for equal employment opportunity compliance and vendor certification that they are not listed on the Texas Comptroller's foreign terrorist organization list. Vendors must also verify that neither they nor their affiliated entities are engaged in boycotting Israel. Payment terms are established as Net 30, calculated from the later of invoice or order receipt date. While a specific budget range is not disclosed, the procurement is for a specialized lubricating grease product intended for high-speed coupling applications. Vendors must provide commercial warranties ensuring product merchantability, specification compliance, and warranty terms equivalent to those offered to other customers. The contract appears to be a standard procurement for maintenance and operational supplies, likely supporting DART's transportation infrastructure and equipment maintenance needs.
