About this opportunity

The Missouri Department of Public Safety - Army National Guard Environmental division is seeking a contractor for a Grassland Management Project at the South 61 Macon Training Site located in Maries County, Missouri. The procurement involves spot spraying approximately 477 acres of grassland fields to control undesirable plant species, including invasive, noxious, and troublesome native plants. Contractors must provide all necessary labor, materials, and equipment to perform the project, with a specific requirement to submit a completed and signed bid sheet along with a valid pesticide applicator's license. The project will be awarded on a per-acre basis and will not be reduced to less than 100 acres. A pre-bid meeting was scheduled for January 12, 2023, at 10:30 am by appointment only at the main entrance of the South 61 Training Site, with bid responses due by January 26, 2023, at 11:00 AM CST. Bids can be submitted via the MissouriBUYS system or emailed to the project manager. The evaluation criteria will focus on the lowest responsive and responsible bid price per acre.

The solicitation does not specify any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond, indicating the opportunity is open to all qualified vendors. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are mentioned in the documentation. The solicitation documents do not provide an estimated total contract value or specific budget range for the project. Payment terms are established as Net 30 Days, and there are no noted requirements for specific types of businesses such as minority-owned, women-owned, or disadvantaged enterprises. The project will require the selected contractor to integrate their work with the existing grassland management practices at the Macon Training Site, with a focus on controlling and managing undesirable plant species across approximately 477 acres of grassland. The contract appears to be a single-period procurement without explicit mention of potential renewal options or future extensions.
