About this opportunity
The Maine Division of Purchases is soliciting bids on Grade 30 Chain, with bids due July 27, 2009.
Bids must be submitted in sealed form to Room 119, 9 State House Station, State Office Building, Augusta, Maine, prior to the closing deadline. Unit prices must be submitted separately for each item unless otherwise specified. The State reserves the right to reject any or all bids, award items individually or as a group, and increase or decrease quantities by up to 10% unless otherwise stated.
Award will be made to the lowest responsible bidder considering best value to the State, with evaluation factors including quality, conformity with specifications, delivery date, and ultimate cost. The State is exempt from Federal taxes on articles not for resale and from Maine State Sales and Use Taxes; bids should exclude these taxes and include any applicable cash discounts. Payment terms of less than 20 days will not be considered in award determinations. In-state bidders or those offering commodities produced or manufactured in Maine receive preference in tie-bid resolution.
All transportation charges, including freight and express mail, must be prepaid by the contractor unless otherwise specified. Time of delivery must be stated in definite terms. Contractors must comply with all applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations. No contract may be assigned, sublet, or transferred without written consent from the Director.
