GPS mapping of hydrants, valves and manholes, term contract

This procurement opportunity, issued by Palm Beach County, Florida under solicitation number 16-061-KM, sought a term contract vendor to provide GPS mapping services for hydrants, valves, and manholes within the county's infrastructure systems. The primary objective of this solicitation was to obtain comprehensive geospatial mapping and documentation of critical water distribution and wastewater system components to support asset management, maintenance operations, and emergency response capabilities. The deliverables would have included accurate GPS coordinates and mapping data for all specified infrastructure elements, enabling the county to maintain current records of utility locations and facilitate coordination between departments and emergency services. However, it is important to note that this procurement opportunity was cancelled effective August 31, 2016, prior to the September 1, 2016 deadline, and no contract award was made under this solicitation.

The cancellation notice terminated all bidding activity and rendered all previously issued deadlines, submission requirements, and procurement timelines void. No information regarding set-aside designations, disadvantaged enterprise requirements, incumbent contractors, integration requirements with existing systems, or budget allocations was disclosed in the available documentation. Vendors who had begun preparation of proposals or responses were instructed to disregard all solicitation documents and requirements associated with this opportunity. The formal cancellation means that Palm Beach County did not proceed with this GPS mapping services procurement, and interested contractors should not anticipate any further activity or award decisions related to this particular term contract opportunity.
