About this opportunity
The Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is procuring a single item: a glass station component measuring 14.5" X 33.5" X 3/8" thick (Purchase Order 2098246). This straightforward goods procurement requires vendors to submit bids by the March 31, 2026 deadline, with the posting date of March 16, 2026 providing a 15-day bidding window. Interested vendors must register with the Bonfire platform to access complete project details and the BidTable, which contains vendor response fields and specifications. The primary evaluation criterion centers on delivery performance, as DART emphasizes that "time and rate of deliveries are of the essence of this order," with failure to meet specified delivery schedules constituting grounds for rejection and default termination. All bids must reflect FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs included in the quoted price, and payment will be made on Net 30 terms from either invoice receipt or order receipt, whichever is later. Invoices must be submitted in triplicate to APInvoices@dart.org and include the purchase order number, item number, description, sizes, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals.
The procurement documents provided do not specify any set-aside designations, disadvantaged enterprise preferences, or restrictions limiting the types of organizations eligible to bid. No incumbent vendor information or existing technology integration requirements are referenced in the available documentation. Similarly, the posting materials do not disclose an award value or budget range for this purchase order. However, all successful vendors must comply with DART's comprehensive terms and conditions, including commercial warranty requirements ensuring merchantable quality, equal employment opportunity commitments, conflict-of-interest certifications, non-boycott of Israel affirmations, and Foreign Terrorist Organization screening requirements per the Texas Comptroller's list. Vendors should note that DART is exempt from Texas state and local sales and use taxes, and any such taxes appearing on invoices will be deducted from payment.
