About this opportunity

The Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is soliciting bids for a glass panel component, specifically a right-hand (RH) configuration glass panel only (Item #2097952). This procurement involves the supply of a single component part required for DART's transit operations. The opportunity was posted on February 9, 2026, with a proposal due date of February 20, 2026. Bidders must register on the BONFIRE platform to access complete project details and the bid table, which contains vendor response fields and additional specifications accessible through the "Prepare Your Submission" process. Delivery terms are critical to this procurement, with the contract specifying that time and rate of deliveries are essential to the order; seller failure to meet specified delivery schedules constitutes grounds for rejection and default termination by the Authority. All bids must reflect FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs included in the overall price, and DART does not typically accept FOB Origin or Prepay and Add terms. The contract will be governed by DART's standard Purchase Order Terms and Conditions, which establish the framework for all deliverables and performance requirements.

The procurement documentation does not indicate any specific set-aside designations or restrictions limiting responses to disadvantaged enterprises or minority-owned businesses. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are identified in the available materials. Payment will be made on a Net 30 basis from invoice receipt or order receipt, whichever is later, with invoices submitted in triplicate to APInvoices@dart.org and containing the purchase order number, item number, description, sizes, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals. Sellers must provide commercial warranties covering merchantable quality, suitability for intended use, and compliance with product descriptions and specifications. The specific award value or budget range for this glass panel procurement is not disclosed in the posted materials, as the full bid table and project details require BONFIRE registration to access. DART is exempt from Texas state and local sales and use taxes, and any such taxes included on invoices will be deducted from payment amounts.
