About this opportunity
The Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is issuing a purchase order solicitation for glass window assemblies, side floor components, and destination signs (Film 09-630-018) under contract number GLASS-953 and reference number 2098719. This procurement is directed to Dallas County, Texas and requires vendors to submit bids through the BONFIRE registration system by the April 30, 2026 deadline, with the posting date of April 13, 2026 providing a 17-day response window. The deliverables consist of specialized transit vehicle components including glass window systems, side floor assemblies, and destination signage films that must meet DART's technical specifications and quality standards. All bids must reflect FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs fully included in the overall price, and vendors must comply with strict delivery schedules as time and rate of deliveries are deemed essential to contract performance, with failure to meet specified delivery requirements constituting grounds for rejection and default termination. Payment will be rendered on a Net 30 basis from the later of invoice receipt or order receipt date, with invoices submitted in triplicate to APInvoices@dart.org and containing purchase order numbers, item descriptions, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals.
Bidders must comply with DART's comprehensive Purchase Order Terms and Conditions, which are governed by Texas law with venue in Dallas County, and must satisfy equal opportunity employment provisions and certification requirements including verification that the seller does not appear on the Texas Comptroller's list of companies with foreign terrorist organization contracts and confirmation that neither the seller nor affiliates boycott Israel. The solicitation documentation does not identify any specific set-aside designations for disadvantaged enterprises, minority-owned businesses, or women-owned businesses, suggesting this is an open competition available to all qualified vendors meeting DART's requirements. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are identified in the available materials, and no specific budget range or award value is disclosed in the solicitation. Sellers must provide supplies that are of merchantable quality, suitable for intended use, fully compliant with specifications, and covered by the most favorable commercial warranties offered to any customer. The Contracting Officer retains the right to make changes via written notice, with any resulting cost or schedule impacts subject to equitable adjustment claims that must be asserted within 30 days of change order receipt, and DART reserves the right to terminate the contract for convenience or default at its discretion.
