About this opportunity
Clarion University is seeking multiple work order contracts for general campus asphalt paving and maintenance services through an invitation to bid process. The procurement is specifically targeting contractors capable of providing comprehensive campus maintenance services, with a critical requirement that vendors must be physically located within a 75-mile radius of the campus to ensure rapid response times. Contractors will be responsible for furnishing all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary to complete campus paving and maintenance projects in compliance with state, county, and local regulations. Electronic bids are due by 2:00 PM EST on July 19, 2022, and must be submitted through PASSHE's ARIBA Sourcepoint online platform. The contract is structured as a one-year agreement with potential renewals for up to two additional two-year terms, creating a possible total contract duration of five years. Bidders must complete a free registration process on the ARIBA Sourcepoint website to access solicitation documents and submit proposals. Evaluation will likely focus on contractors' geographical proximity, technical capabilities, and ability to rapidly respond to campus maintenance needs.
While no specific set-aside designations or disadvantaged enterprise requirements are explicitly mentioned, the procurement appears to be open to qualified asphalt and campus maintenance contractors meeting the geographical and technical specifications. The contract will be a unit-priced work order contract, meaning individual work orders will be issued as specific campus maintenance services are needed. Though specific budget ranges are not disclosed, the multi-year structure suggests a potentially significant ongoing investment in campus infrastructure maintenance. The procurement is being conducted by Clarion University, located in Clarion County, Pennsylvania, with bid documents accessible through the university's online procurement platform. Interested contractors must demonstrate technical proficiency in campus asphalt paving and maintenance, with an emphasis on local responsiveness and comprehensive service capabilities. The contract's structure allows the university flexibility in managing campus maintenance needs through a pre-qualified vendor pool.
