About this opportunity
The Commonwealth of Kentucky, Office of Agricultural Marketing & Product Promotion, is requesting bids for one Gatormade Aardvark +3 Series 16K trailer, with bids due July 2, 2026 at 1:30 p.m. Eastern Time. Kentucky resident bidders receive reciprocal preference, and qualified bidders including Kentucky Correctional Industries and nonprofits serving individuals with disabilities receive preference points of 20 percent and 15 percent of maximum points respectively.
The trailer specification includes a 16,000-pound gross vehicle weight rating, dual 8,000-pound rated axles with electric drum brakes, 12-inch I-beam frame with reinforced tubing, 14-ply radial tires with full-size spare, 18-foot main deck with 4-foot self-cleaning dovetail and loading ramps, wood decking, street-legal LED lighting, dual electric-over-hydraulic jacks, and minimum 12,000-pound electric winch. Per Addendum #1, approved equal products from alternative manufacturers will be accepted if they meet or exceed the minimum essential specifications and salient characteristics. Delivery is to 111 Corporate Drive, Frankfort, Kentucky, and shipping costs must be included in the bid.
This is a one-time purchase with no renewal options. Awards will be made on a best-value basis using a ranking approach with pricing weighted at 90 points and delivery time weighted at 10 points out of 100 total points. The lowest bidder receives maximum price points, with subsequent bidders scored proportionally. Quoted prices must be F.O.B. Destination Freight Prepaid and Allowed, exclusive of federal excise tax and Kentucky sales or use tax. Proposed pricing must remain valid for a minimum of 60 calendar days after the bid due date.
All bidders must be registered in the Commonwealth eProcurement System and submit responses electronically in Microsoft Word, Excel, or PDF format only; paper bids are non-responsive. Prior to award, successful bidders must submit Revenue Form 10A100 (Kentucky Tax Registration Application), Secretary of State registration documentation where applicable, required affidavits, and a Certificate of Insurance with Commercial General Liability coverage of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate. Written questions were due June 23, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time. Contact Stephanie Durr at 502-564-6521 for additional information.
