About this opportunity
The Texas Juvenile Justice Department is requesting bids for installation of commercial-grade chain link fencing at a facility under IFB FY26_MCL_fencing, with bids due June 26, 2026 at 2:00 p.m.
The scope encompasses approximately 200 feet of 10-foot-tall galvanized chain link fencing with top, middle, and bottom rails; 24-inch stainless steel razor wire mounted on top; a 30-foot by 10-foot chain link double-swing gate with additional 24-inch stainless steel razor wire topping; core drilling in concrete areas; and concrete setting of fence posts. All materials must be commercial grade and match existing fencing specifications. Respondents must provide a unit price for the complete installation and quote freight-on-board destination with freight prepaid.
TJJD will evaluate bids using the best value standard and reserves the right to make awards based on low line-item offers, combinations of line items, or any other criteria serving the State's interests. Successful respondents must provide proof of workers' compensation and commercial general liability insurance with an "A" rating from A.M. Best Co. within five business days of award. Liquidated damages of 2 percent of the total contract cost per calendar day apply for failure to perform on schedule. All bid prices must remain firm for a minimum of 120 days from the submission deadline. The contract is contingent upon continued legislative appropriations. The State is exempt from sales and excise taxes and will furnish tax exemption certificates upon request.
Bids must be submitted electronically to Brittany.Williams@tjjd.texas.gov and must be signed and time-stamped by the deadline; late or unsigned bids will not be considered. Questions should be directed to Allan Magourik, Project Manager II, at Allan.Magouirk@tjjd.texas.gov or 940-443-7476.
