FY23 MPD-ESB - Duty Holsters Right and Left Hand

The District of Columbia's Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) is seeking procurement of duty holsters for right and left-handed officers through this FY23 contract opportunity. The solicitation specifically targets holster procurement for law enforcement personnel, with a narrow window for vendor response between December 6, 2022, and December 8, 2022. This brief procurement cycle indicates an urgent operational need for replacement or additional holster equipment for MPD personnel. The contract appears focused on supplying standardized duty holsters that meet specific law enforcement equipment specifications and operational requirements. While detailed technical specifications are not fully provided in the available information, the solicitation suggests a precise procurement for standard-issue law enforcement equipment.

Based on the limited information available, no specific set-aside designations or enterprise restrictions are explicitly mentioned in the contract opportunity. The procurement appears to be a standard municipal purchasing process for public safety equipment. Without additional context, it is unclear whether there are preferences for small businesses, disadvantaged business enterprises, or local District of Columbia vendors. The contract's short response window and focused nature suggest this may be a direct procurement with limited competitive bidding. No incumbent vendor information or specific budget range is discernible from the provided contract opportunity details. Potential vendors would need to contact MPD directly to obtain more comprehensive procurement guidelines, technical specifications, and potential award value information.
